SUITE SIXTEEN

A portfolio of 16 screen prints depicting lanterns in the Portland Japanese Garden at the 4 seasonal apexes, contained in 4 BYOBU Japanese folding screens, and housed in a SHIHO CHITSU Japanese four-sided case.

INTENTION: each seasonal BYOBU to be table-top displayed during its appropriate season.

DIMENSIONS:  closed box- 8.25 x 12 x 2.25”    

EDITION:  Limited-edition of 10

SCREEN PRINTS-  PAPER: Arches 88. SIZE: paper- 11.25h x 7.5w” / images- 8h x 5w”.   INK: Nazdar 5500 series flat poster screen ink. CHOP: using GUTA ink.

CASE-  BYOBU: binders board. Yuzen green/gold flowers paper. shoji game sumi-e paper. kobo washi. Tyvek hand dyed with FW acrylic artists ink.   SHIHO CHITSU: Asahi green/gold iris Japanese bookcloth. Yuzen green/gold flowers paper. Tyvek hand dyed with FW acrylic artists ink. Bone closures.
